I just watched Splendor In the Grass for the first time tonight… wow! Is it scary that I related to it on so many levels and so deeply? I am pleased I had never seen this movie before, as it could not have come at a better time for me. Kismet.

I’ve never seen it, but it is Elia Kazan, so it has to be good.
I loved it. Loved Face In the Crowd, too. I’m a little creeped-out by Kazan’s behavior during the communist scare, though. Can’t figure how such a savvy filmmaker with such heart and insight could have given in to that.
